We are Licensed by the Commission of Independent Education, Florida Department of Education. This school is owned and operated by Julia Tester, as Director of Education and registered agent of the Corporation: Artistic School of Nails & Cosmetology, Inc. Document number P01000108791. Julia has been a nail technician for over 28 years in private practice. Julia has taught as well as worked as an educator for many manufactures in the nail industry. She has had private clients that have been using her special skills, some as long as 18 years!
THE FACILITIES
Artistic School of Nails & Cosmetology, Inc. is located at 5304 E. Curry Ford Rd., Orlando FL 32812. This centrally located site is convenient to the airport and downtown Orlando. It is located 1.5 miles from the E/W Expressway (408) and is accessible from I-4. Our phone number is 407.208.0608; our Fax number is 407.208.0662.
Our facility consists of over 2400 square feet. The basic equipment consists of 2 shampoo bowls and 14 student styling stations, 3 dryers, 8 manicure stations, 2 pedicure thrones, and 4 facial tables. The clinic area consists of working stations where the students work on customers under the direct supervision of an instructor. The educational facilities are furnished with the latest beauty equipment, classrooms and practice areas. We make every effort to maintain a friendly atmosphere conducive to intense study made by the school management.
EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
We provide training in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You will learn the finest techniques, experience hard work, learn social skills and group interaction and have fun. There will be lots of activities, time to practice with experienced trainers to help you learn the skills necessary to complete the State Board.

9:00am to 5:00pm Friday and 10:00am to 2:00pm Saturday.

Admission Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent . Persons without High School Diploma or GED must meet take the Wonderlic basic skills test (verbal score 200, quantitative score 210), for those 16 years of age or older with no High School Diploma or GED, will be administered by an independent source.
All applicants must provide: Proof of Education (Diploma, GED, High School transcript).
Enrollment:
New classes begin the first Monday (day class) and the first Tuesday (evening classes) each month. Implemental supplies, equipment and materials for each new course are included in the tuition price. Flexible Payment plans are available for those who qualify. Arrangements can be made through the Administration office.

Day Classes: Completed in 30 weeks/40 hours per week
Evening Classes: Completed in 60 weeks/20 hours per week (Sat. optional)

Manicure, Pedicure, & Nail Extension Specialty Curriculum

Facial and Skin Care Specialty (Microderm, Air Brush Tanning and Vascular)

Leaves, Absences, and Unsatisfactory Program Policy
A $10.00 per hour additional charge will be made for each makeup hour. If program is not completed by scheduled ending date due to unsatisfactory attendance or performance on program as directed on individual contract, this charge will also apply. This policy applies to all courses offered. The student agrees that full tuition shall be paid before Certificate will be issued.
Part Time Students
All part time students must follow the same rules and regulations as Full time students.
A minimum of 20 hours/week is required for all part time students.
Credits for Previous Training
You must supply school with a certified transcript from a licensed and approved school of courses taken. Your documentation of previous training will be included in your permanent file. Transfer of credits to other institutions, is at the discretion of the accepting institution. It is the students’ responsibility to confirm whetherthese credits will be accepted by the institution of choice.

Approximate cost**
Students are not required to purchase extra supplies but are highly recommended and suggested. The School is a distributor for several companies. The School stocks related supplies and products at discounted prices for students.

REFUND POLICY
Should student wish to cancel their contract, refunds will be made according to the following refund schedule:
If any student commits any ILLEGAL act or FRADULENTLY registers or commits any ILLEGAL or FRADULENT activity as a student, there will be NO REFUND and the prospective or active student will be TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY.
Student may not attend any classes until this contract agreement is signed by the student and the Administrator or agent of Artistic School of Nails & Cosmetology, Inc.
